Gum Arabic is the dried secreta of the leguminosae acacia group tree. It is used for sugar coating, emulsifier, powder flavor etc.
It is also broadly used as a thickener and stabilizer in food applications. It is used as dietary fiber. Senegal type and Seyal type are available.
